Adventure to Baja with Where's My Office Now + Bing Surfboards + Go Westy Campers
January 15, 2018
Friends of Bing, the modern nomads known as @wheresmyofficenow , are heading to Baja for a few weeks or longer documenting their surf trip and sharing their experience along the way ( leaving the names of breaks anonymous of course ). Corey and Emily also partner with @gowestycamperswhich allow the couple to live in a sustainable manner while on the road. They are taking some fine Bing boards with them thanks to @mattcalvani and @theshaperswife .... a 5’4” Dharma, 5’4” Dharma 2, 7’8” Seeker, and a 9’6” Pocket Knife Model by @mele_saili ... Really looking forward to sharing their surfing travels through our feeds and blog. Hoping that the final video will be submitted to surf film festivals worldwide as well! We were driving at night and thus had already broken one of just two rules we made before crossing the southern border. It wasn’t really our fault. A long construction delay due to recent landslides held us up for over an hour. We passed white crosses on the winding downhill, marking those who’s brakes gave way or tequila got the best of them.
Thanks to all that made it to the Boardroom Show in Del Mar, and to our Bing Surf Shop re-opening party! Lot's of good friends came out to enjoy food by Bird's Eye Kitchen and beers by Saint Archer. We also premiered the movie trailer for our 60th Anniversary documentary series filmed and edited by Bryce Lowe White. Stay tuned for our event at SHAAC in San Clemente in July and our video premiere at Oceanside Surf Museum in August!
Commemorating 60 Years of Craftsmanship, Bing Surfboards is releasing a 3 part documentary series featuring key people in the history of this iconic surf company. Bryce Lowe White is responsible for this extensive project, and to get a taste of what's to come in July, we have this trailer to get you excited. We will be showing the documentary series at SHAAC in July as well, so be sure to stay tuned for more information.
