SHAPING SESSIONS WITH MATT


Matt Calvani and Bing Surfboards is offering a few fortunate individuals a rare opportunity to experience the inside workings of Bing Surfboards and spend one on one time with the owner and head shaper and designer of one of the most prestigious surfboard brands in history.

“Shaping Sessions with Matt” is a program that offers multiple levels of involvement for those that want to know more about how Bings are built from start to finish while having the opportunity to participate with Matt on a surfboard designed and built specifically for them.

If you’ve ever wanted to see and learn about the construction of a custom-built surfboard from start to finish this is your chance. Spend time with Matt and see him create the board of your dreams from your own personal feedback and cooperative efforts…. An experience of a lifetime!


TIER 1 (4 hours @ $1,000)

  • Pre-session design consultation (phone or in-person)
  • Surf & complimentary lunch with Matt
  • Bing Surf Shop visit
  • Bing Factory tour
  • Includes pre-shape Bing stock model
  • Customer participates in finish work (1 hr)


TIER 2 (6 hours @ $1,500)

  • Pre-session design consultation (phone or in-person)
  • Surf & complimentary lunch with Matt 
  • Bing Surf Shop visit 
  • Bing Factory tour
  • Hand-shape Bing stock model (2-3 hrs)
  • Customer participates in finish work 


TIER 3 (8 hours @ $2,000)

  • Pre-session design consultation (phone or in-person)
  • Surf & complimentary lunch with Matt 
  • Bing Surf Shop visit 
  • Bing Factory tour
  • Hand-shape custom design ( 4-6 hrs split into two days)
  • Customer participates start to finish

- 25% off storewide at Bing Surf Shop (excludes surfboards)


Terms

- Above pricing does not include the retail cost of the surfboard

- Shaping sessions will be scheduled according to customer and Matt Calvani’s availability (Monday-Saturday only)

- Shaping sessions will be held at the Bing Surfboards Factory located at 583 Westlake St. Encinitas, CA 92024

- Surfing session will be held at a local Encinitas surf break and precedes shaping session
