Today the surf community says good-bye and aloha to one of it’s legends. A shaper, craftsman, and innovator, Terry Martin’s career at Hobie Surfboards began in 1963, and he dedicated his life to shaping upwards of 70,000 surfboards for surfers all over the world. With the deepest respect and gratitude, we say “so long” to Mr. Martin.
The last issue of SURFER Magazine (sobs) has hit the shelves and basically you may only find a copy somewhere the news is not out of their indefinite pause. A sad day in the surfing community, although there is a diamond of an article in the issue that features our lady in charge, Margaret Calvani and Bing rider Lauren Hill.
On Wednesday, October 14th, the Bing Staff showed up at San Onofre State Beach for a day of surf and sun. A day of clean crossed up swell kept the crew in the water more than not. Here are some photos that capture the good times.
