After a long and successful summer season at Bing Surfboards and Bing Surf Shop, everyone got the day off to hang and surf and San Onofre with owners Matt & Margaret Calvani. The surf stayed clean all day and was perfect for logging many hours swapping boards in the water. And thanks to Bing’s beer sponsor and creator of the Bing Logger, Duck Foot Brewing, there was plenty of cold beverages under the Bing tent to keep everyone hydrated and happy on the sand until sunset. When and where did you start surfing? Describe your first surfboard.
I started surfing when I was about 15 in Virginia Beach, and my first board was an old funboard from WRV that was about 7’6” and had glass on thrusters and an insane airbrush.
