The sun was affecting them and the Aviator glasses were the solution. Then in 1952 Ray Ban created the ever popular Wayfarer sunglasses. These quickly became popular for Hollywood movies and celebrities and is probably the most copied style of sunglasses today. Ray Ban has been around a long time and continues to set the standard for classic American style.
