Bing Surfboards is pleased to welcome environmental advocate, writer, and film-maker, Lauren Hill, to our team and family. Lauren is a Florida native, now living in Byron Bay, Australia where she pursues her passion for surfing, environmental science and a “thoughtful engagement with life.” In addition to being the creator of 31 Days / 31 Ways, a short-film series documenting the love and art of wave riding through a multitude of water crafts, Lauren also recently became an ambassador for Roxy. We’re delighted to have this fascinating young lady join our diverse little group and look forward to following along with her adventures!
It was a great night at Bing Surf Shop on Saturday, June 22nd! We released the latest Bing longboard model designed by Israel Preciado and Matt Calvani. Free margaritas with Suerte Tequila were flowing, as well as $5 Dinner plates full of delicious El Nopalito tacos. Movies and music were playing in the Coffee courtyard from 6pm - 9pm. Check out the video and some photos from the night. For more information about the Izzy Rider Model, click here. For now you have a chance to enter to win a Izzy Rider by purchasing a $10.00 ticket, with part of the proceeds going to TheraSurf.
Bing Rider Will Allen in a short video by Cameron Nelligan titled 'Sleeping Tacos'. Will is riding a 9'9" Bing BN Lightweight. The BN Lightweight Model is a lighter weight version of the Original Bing Noserider.
We were driving at night and thus had already broken one of just two rules we made before crossing the southern border. It wasn’t really our fault. A long construction delay due to recent landslides held us up for over an hour. We passed white crosses on the winding downhill, marking those who’s brakes gave way or tequila got the best of them.
