BING x RAEN Launch Party Recap
Last Friday we hosted the official Bing Surfboards and RAEN Optics Launch party. Whew. What a night it was! MIHO Catering Co. served free AMAZING food to the first lucky 100+ people, while Drinks By Barçon kept the refreshing free margaritas shaking all night long. It was so great to see so many friends gather to eat and enjoy each other. Folks got their hands on the latest Bing boards in stock at the shop and even were able chat with owner and head shaper, Matt Calvani, face to face about what type of board is best for them. We capped off the night with giveaways where friends walked away with DVD’s, Bing Surfboards gear, and even a new pair of RAEN shades. We are so excited about our partnership with RAEN Optics, and look forward to bringing San Diego the best and largest selection of handcrafted RAEN Optics sunglasses available in one place at the Bing Surf Shop.

When and where did you start surfing? Describe your first surfboard.
I started surfing when I was about 15 in Virginia Beach, and my first board was an old funboard from WRV that was about 7’6” and had glass on thrusters and an insane airbrush.
