This iconic 1960’s photo image was originally used in ad for Bing Surfboards that ran in Surfer Magazine in 1965. The Bill Robbins photo resonated with many surfers and their girlfriends, and both sexes could relate to the reality of the message in those golden days of innocence. The tagline reads “He hasn’t called me once…since he got his new Bing”. We’re happy to bring this timeless image back as the truth remains the same, and the design is as good as it ever was.
A new design for Bing, we offer “Crying Girl” on our 100% combed Ring Spun cotton fitted tees in two colors, White (WHT) and Slate blue (SLA), with a fit and feel you’re sure to love. Own a little piece of Bing history with this classic t-shirt and timeless message.

This vintage image proudly sits on the South/East corner of our Bing Surf Shop greeting drivers on the PCH as they drive north on their daily commute…. It’s rumored that the girl in the picture is still alive and well, and we’re sure she found happiness with a man who put her first.

Name, hometown, and surfboard brand.
Josh Peterson, hometown Virginia Beach (born) Haleiwa (currently living), and my brand is Peterson Surfcraft.
When and where did you start surfing? Describe your first surfboard.
I started surfing when I was about 15 in Virginia Beach, and my first board was an old funboard from WRV that was about 7’6” and had glass on thrusters and an insane airbrush.
