Summer is in full swing for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. The kids are out of school and frothing on any size surf, the water is warming, the waves are small and everyones Instagram and Facebook blew up with images celebrating the recent summer solstice officially welcoming in summer. Bing Surfboards team rider James Parry grew up surfing the UK so he’s not as jaded as some of us might be about the surf. James is always ready to surf anything and makes any wave look fun. I make up for it on the weekends. I wake up to their calls for me, like they couldn’t wait another second to be on me or they’d pass out. We pack them in the car and then I pass them off on my mom or Scott so I can sink into the water.

New Bing Surf Shop Opens This Weekend!

We are really excited to announce that the new Bing Surf Shop will be opening this weekend! The new location is at 974 N. Coast Highway 101, in Leucadia, CA. We are moving into the location of previous iconic surf shops ( Surfy Surfy / Longboard Grotto / Leucadia Surf and Ski ). Being that this is our 60th year building surfboards in California, it only makes sense to do it with a bang. To give you a little history about our shop / factory locations since 1959, we asked Bing Copeland to highlight some key dates that indicate the road to where we are today.
