Luca Merli is the film maker and producer of this film. He has started an Indiegogo Campaign to help raise money for the completion of the film. BING BONZER 1973-74 FOR SALE
David Pecchi (one of the stars of the film) has donated his 1973-74 Bing Bonzer and is now for sale for $1,500 Euros. All the proceeds will go to fund the completion of this project. Please email Luca Merli at luca@block10.it if you’re interested in purchasing the surfboard.

This has been an ongoing passion project for Luca and his partners to create and fund this film. They are now in the home stretch of coloring, processing and editing which is always exciting. As with any independent film funding is an issue and your support will go a long way in helping them complete this surfing documentary. What would you do if you were gifted an almost pristine 1970s Bing single fin? Would you keep it for yourself? Most probably would. Encinitas local Mario Ordoñez-Calderón saw it as an opportunity to give back to his community. Mario approached Bing Surfboards about raffling off the gorgeous 7’4” single fin to raise money for his local non-profit, Un Mar De Colores, and we gladly accepted. We’ll be holding 14 day raffle for this original Bing surfboard with a live drawing for the winner on July 17th. All proceeds will go to Un Mar De Colores.

Rest In Peace: Greg 'Da Bull' Noll

We met in 1949 hanging on the rail of the Manhattan Beach pier watching Velzy and the older guys surfing planks and paddle boards on the waves below.  That was our introduction to  surfing, and the surfer life, that consumed us both for the next seventy plus years.  Even though we were competitors in the surfboard business we’ve always remained close friends and best buddies.
