BING SURFBOARDS PRESENTS: THE DEAR & YONDER MODELIn collaboration with Dear & Yonder film-makers (Tiffany Campbell and Andria Lessler), film featured artist (Serena Mitnik-Miller), and film-featured shaper and Bing team rider (Ashley Lloyd), Bing Surfboards signed an exclusive license to build and distribute the Dear & Yonder Surfboard Model. This limited edition series model will feature board design by the talented Bing surfer/shaper, Ashley Lloyd and the hand-painted custom artwork of San Francisco based artist, Serena Mitnik-Miller.Bing & Jacobs Surfboards General Manager, Margaret Yao, explains “It’s a pleasure and an honor to join such a prestigious group of women artists, craftsman, and surfers in this unprecedented step in women’s surfing. ” The Bing Surfboards Dear & Yonder Model in collaboration with Ashley Lloyd and Serena Mitnik-Miller will be available at authorized Bing dealers starting July 2009. When and where did you start surfing? Describe your first surfboard.
I started surfing when I was about 15 in Virginia Beach, and my first board was an old funboard from WRV that was about 7’6” and had glass on thrusters and an insane airbrush.
