Welcome to Bing Surfboards Mele Saili
Bing Surfboards is proud to announce the addition of new team rider Mele Saili from Pacific Beach, CA. At 22 years of age Mele started surfing seriously at 13 years old. In a relatively short time she’s demonstrated a lot of surfing skill and grace to be considered one of the top lady surfers in the world.
In 2014 Mele traveled to Australia for the Noosa Festival where she placed 2nd in the Women’s Open and 3rd in Women’s Pro. Mele was then invited to the prestigious Deus 9ft. & Single contest in Indonesia where she placed 3rd behind Leah Dawson(winner) and Kassia Meador. Most recently at the Malibu contest “Call to the Wall” Mele took 2nd among a stacked field of talented lady surfers.
Even more impressive than Mele’s recent contest placings is her personality. She seems to be constantly happy and is always outgoing and friendly in and out of the water. Mele is also a talented artist staying creative painting in her spare time. We couldn’t be more happy to add such a great person and dynamic surfer to our team of riders. We’re stoked to have Mele representing Bing Surfboards everywhere she goes.

Josh Peterson, hometown Virginia Beach (born) Haleiwa (currently living), and my brand is Peterson Surfcraft.
When and where did you start surfing? Describe your first surfboard.
I started surfing when I was about 15 in Virginia Beach, and my first board was an old funboard from WRV that was about 7’6” and had glass on thrusters and an insane airbrush.
