The film is included in the Smithsonian American History Museum’s collection, as it is credited with changing American culture. The book was written by Dana Brown son of surfing legend Bruce Brown.
The case bound book set weighs 8.5 pounds with 244 pages, Chinese style hand binding, 18 foldout pages, 10 translucent maps, 3 moving image flip books and much more including a 5-frame film strip from the original film print. A bronze medallion and remastered DVD are included in this limited edition with a certificate of authenticity numbered and personally signed by Bruce Brown, Robert August, Mike Hynson and John Van Hamersveld.
